Ways to pay your account - Direct Debit

The direct debit system makes payment of your water bills so much easier and can save you time and money by paying your water bills automatically.
You can elect to make payment by:
- Automatic Direct Debit - the Corporation will automatically present the amount payable on your bills to the financial institution of your choice to the account authorised by you. You therefore have the water bills paid automatically, on the due date and by the payment option of your choice.
(Please allow five working days when requesting a new direct debit.). - Periodic Direct Debit - payment of a fixed amount can be debited from your financial institution account on regular periodic basis determined by you. This payment also allows you to save towards the cost of your next water bill. Your next water bill will indicate any accumulated credit under the opening balance, and any amount to pay under balance due.
- You can still elect to pay your Annual Service Charge Account by the option of your choice providing the correct option amount and any opening balance are paid by 31 July.
- You will still receive all your accounts advising the opening balance (debit or credit) plus new charges and the balance due (if any), along with the due date.
- You can pay Annual Service Charge Accounts, Adjusted Service Charge Accounts and Water Usage Accounts
- A minimum of five working days is required to establish the direct debit with your financial institution
- Your financial institution will advise if your savings or cheque account can be direct debited.
- You cannot Direct Debit from a Credit Card account.
- You will not be provided with a receipt.
- You can ensure payment has been processed by checking your next financial institution statement.
