The Denham town site operates dual water use services for saline and desalinated water.
Separate bills are issued for saline and desalinated consumption charges every four months.
Saline Consumption Charges
Saline water use is charged at the normal country water use rate applicable to the property.
Desalinated Consumption Charges
Where each kilolitre of water has been treated to remove, or reduce the salt content of the water the following charges apply
Residential - 2011-12 charges
Consumption charges are billed three times a year, and each residence is allowed a quota of 35 kL of water for each period. This is based on a household of up to four persons. Where a residence is occupied permanently by more than four people, occupiers can apply for an increase in their quota.
The table below illustrates the standard charges for a household of up to four persons:
| Residential Water Use Charges | 2011-12 Price per kilolitre (c/kL) |
| Up to quota | 56.7 |
| for water use above quota, next 1/7 of quota | 415.8 |
| thereafter | 1,295.6 |
Non Residential - 2011-12 charges
Non-residential properties are generally allowed a quota of 105 kL of water per year. The quota may vary if the land developer paid additional headworks contributions at the time of construction.
| Consumption per year | 2011-12 Price per kilolitre c/kL) |
| up to quota | 56.7 |
