Metropolitan residential - multiple residences

Water use charges

Where a number of residences are served by a common service, the amount of water at each taper is multiplied by the number of residences.

For example, for 10 residences:
10 * 150 kL = 1,500 kL is available at the first price taper.

Sewerage

Where the Water Corporation issues one account for a group of residences, the rateable value thresholds are multiplied by the number of residences.

For example, for 10 residences:
4.01 cents applies to the first 10 * $16,700 = $167,000 of the rateable value
0.93 cents applies to each dollar thereafter.

Similarly, the minimum charge for 10 residences is:
10 * $302.30 = $3,023.00

Drainage

Where the Water Corporation at its discretion issues one account for a group of residences, the minimum charge is multiplied by the number of residences.

For example, for 10 residences:
the minimum charge is 10 * $85.25 = $852.50
