Centralised Biosolids Storage Facility
Design Drawings
Continual production of biosolids and limited storage at the Wastewater Treatment Plants has been one of the drivers for the proposed construction of a Centralised Biosolids Storage Facility (CBSF). This facility will initially be constructed as a small scale trial to address environmental concerns and to ensure compliance with the "Western Australian Guidelines for Direct Application of Biosolids and Biosolids Products". It is envisaged the facility will provide an overall improved management system for the biosolids application program.
The design drawings of the trial storage facility at the proposed Annadale farm site are available below:

Technical Working Group
The Water Corporation has undertaken a community consultation program which commenced in March 2004.
A Technical Working Group (TWG) was recently formulated by the Water Corporation. The role of the TWG is to provide technical input and advice to the Water Corporation relating to the trial CBSF. Members of the TWG were sought from the agricultural community, Department of Agriculture, landcare and catchment groups, the Shire of Moora and the Shire of Victoria Plains as well as biosolids program regulators such as the Department of Health and the Department of Environment to ensure representation of the wider community.
Consultation activities undertaken in 2004 are summarised below and the outcomes of the activities are available for downloading by clicking on the appropriate link.

Public Consultation
A public meeting was held at Gillingarra Sport and Recreation Club on the 21 July 2004 at which the Water Corporation representatives provided a briefing of the project and answered questions from the community.
The community and stakeholders have also been informed of the project by newspaper advertisements, briefing sessions, meetings, mailed out information packs and telephone conversations.
Prior to proceeding to public consultation an Environmental Impact Summary Report was prepared to evaluate the effects of a trial facility on the surrounding community and environment.
