The Corporation has a planned Capital Program for the next five years of between $800 million and $1.2 billion. The works are driven by population growth, water source development in response to the drying climate, increasing regulatory requirements and asset replacement.
The Corporation's Capital Delivery Strategy includes both traditional (in-house) and partner (external) elements.
Partner delivery
The partner delivery strategy groups 'like work' based on asset type, technology or geographic location into 'bundles'. The Corporation has put in place long term relationship contracts with private partners to deliver the works.
Currently a significant component of the Capital Works Program is being delivered in these bundles, using various forms of relationship contracts.
Traditional delivery
The remainder of the program is being delivered in the traditional way, using a combination of internal Water Corporation resources, panel consultants and construction contractors.
