As a result of the extensive community consultation undertaken over the last two years, a sustainable, environmentally friendly project has been developed.
Whilst we will be continuing to consult with you throughout the construction and operation of the desalination plant, we would like to thank everyone involved in the consultation thus far.
Your concerns have been heard and were possible, have been addressed in the final plant layout and design.
The attachment below highlights how the five major concerns of the community have been addressed.

Additionally, in conjunction with the Community Reference Group, a 'Commitments Register' has been developed. Whilst many of the commitments are contained within our management plans, this register is an easy-to-follow document that allows the community to monitor the project.
