The design, construction and operation (for 25 years) of the desalination plant has been awarded to the Southern SeaWater Alliance (SSWA). The SSWA comprises of Tecnicas Reunidas, Valoriza Agua, AJ Lucas, WorleyParsons and the Water Corporation.

The use of an alliance has allowed the Corporation to capture international expertise therefore significantly increasing our resources and ensuring the best engineering solutions at competitive prices.

The SSWA are well aware of the environmental, community and other commitments of the Water Corporation, particularly in relation to noise, visual appearance and other aspects of the plant. The SSWA has incorporated all such commitments into their design and operating proposal.
