Engineering Associate Traineeship

Our Engineering Associate Traineeship program allows you to participate in block training sessions at Central TAFE and spend your remaining time receiving full time on the job training and support in a range of operational and business areas of the Water Corporation.

You will receive an attractive salary over two years while attaining a nationally recognised Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering and also have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the Water Corporation, when you’ve completed the Diploma.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Completed Certificate III in Drafting/Engineering Discipline or Year 12 studies with above average grades in Discrete Maths, Physics and English
  • Be able to complete a pre-employment medical along with a drug and alcohol clearance
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate with a keen willingness to learn in a team environment and be committed, along with excellent communication skills – verbal and written

You will receive a nationally recognised Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering.

Successful completion allows you the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the Water Corporation, such as Process Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Planner, Service Delivery Representative, Maintenance Planner and Operations Analyst.

Long term career path 

The career path of an Engineering Associate can result in a specialist role, or a supervisory or managerial role such as an Operations Manager or Section Manager.
