Our Engineering Associate Traineeship program allows you to participate in block training sessions at Central TAFE and spend your remaining time receiving full time on the job training and support in a range of operational and business areas of the Water Corporation.

You will receive an attractive salary over two years while attaining a nationally recognised Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering and also have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the Water Corporation, when you’ve completed the Diploma.
While completing your traineeship, you will work in a range of different areas to ensure that you receive the necessary on-the-job training and mentoring as required.
The Corporation offers excellent wages and conditions, including the payment of course fees and books.
You will receive a nationally recognised Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering.
Successful completion allows you the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the Water Corporation, such as Process Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Planner, Service Delivery Representative, Maintenance Planner and Operations Analyst.
The career path of an Engineering Associate can result in a specialist role, or a supervisory or managerial role such as an Operations Manager or Section Manager.
Recruitment for this program takes place during a yearly cycle usually commencing in September each year.
