A Traineeship offers an opportunity to get paid while attaining the Certificate II in Water Industry Operations. Trainees have an opportunity to work in a range of operational areas in both metropolitan and regional environments.
The program provides on-the-job work in the water industry - an area that is extremely valuable to the state of Western Australia in a time of climate change.

While completing your traineeship, you will work in a range of different areas to ensure that you receive the necessary on-the-job training and mentoring as required.

On successful completion, trainees receive a nationally recognised Certificate II in Water Industry Operations. Depending on suitability and availability, they may be offered an opportunity to complete Certificate III in Water Industry Operations. Both the qualifications (Certificates II and III) provide an excellent career entry opportunity as a Water Industry Worker within the water industry.
Trainees may apply for a range of full time roles within the Water Corporation. Opportunities exist for Water Industry Workers in regional areas and Treatment Plant or Surface Water Operators in metro areas. In the long term, these positions can lead to a specialist or supervisory/managerial role.
Recruitment for this program takes place during a yearly cycle usually commencing in September each year.
