2012 promises to be an exciting year for our Trial. Online community consultation forum launched!

We launched an online community consultation forum, your say on water recycling, in October 2011 as an opportunity for the community to learn more about groundwater replenishment, engage in discussion with others on the topic and importantly ask their own questions, in a open forum. The forum closed on 31st December. Check out www.haveyoursayonwaterrecycling.com.au to see what your community had to say.

Community Open Day proves very popular

Our second Community Open Day for the Trial, held on Saturday 22 October, proved very popular as 300 members of the Perth community came downto the Advanced Water Recycling Plant. Tours of the Facility, along with a sausage sizzle, face painting and gardening advice from the Beyond Gardens experts kept the crowd entertained throughout the day.

Community Open Day a success!

A Community Open Day held on Saturday 12 March proved very popular, attracting about 250 people. Visitors were taken on guided tours and enjoyed a sausage sizzle put on by Dalmain Primary School. Children and adults alike also got involved in the creation of some water recycling-themed artwork which will be installed at the Plant for the enjoyment of future generations.

Groundwater Replenishment Trial and Visitor Centre launched

An official launch was held on 30 November 2010 to mark the start of recharge and opening of a Visitor Centre. The launch attracted significant interest with a great turnout by State Government members of parliament, regulators and water industry enthusiasts who bore witness to this important event in water recycling.

Recharge has begun!

Approval to recharge was granted by the Department of Health on 9 November 2010, with recycled water recharged into groundwater the following day.
