H₂O Smart is a FREE water efficiency program for selected small to medium non-residential customers in the North West and Great Southern regions. This FREE program provides the following:

• a waterwise internal audit and upgrade of highly efficient showerheads, dual flush toilets, tap aerators as well as the repair of leaking taps and toilets where required. To date 340 eligible business customers have taken advantage of this service
• an irrigation system audit and retrofit. This has been made available to 22 selected customers in the North West region, whose irrigation use accounts for a large portion of their overall scheme water use
• their water meters fitted with an electronic data logger. In the first few months of 2012, selected high water using non-residential properties in the North West and Great Southern will have loggers fitted to assist customers to detect leaks and manage their irrigation requirements more efficiently
• a urinal audit and adjustment. Over 140 non-residential customers will have their urinal flushing systems reset to eliminate water wastage. Faulty urinal equipment such as solenoids, water seals and inlet/outlet valves will also be replaced if suitable
