Your role in the Trial

The GWRT team is keen to engage with the community at all levels.

The people living in the area of Craigie immediately around the Beenyup Wastewater Treatment Plant may notice some of the activities associated with the Trial.  You may see the alliance contractor W2W, who has been commissioned to build the plant, working in the area.  And you will receive updates on the activities from both W2W and the GWRT team.

For the wider community in greater Perth, this Trial could be the beginning of ensuring a safe, reliable climate-independent water source.  We strongly encourage anyone who is interested in exploring this technology to speak with our team.  This is a trial for the benefit of the community, not just in 2008, but for generations to come.

We are testing a new way of helping our community maintain supplies of an invaluable resource: water.  We cannot continue to grow and thrive in Perth without ensuring our water sources.

We would like to encourage you to:

  • read all the pages on our website, and look out for updates;
  • sign up to our e-newsletter (coming soon);
  • contact us with your questions;
  • read the regular updates;
  • invite us to your community group, school or local centre to discuss the project and concept with your group.

Our team is here to assist you to understand the Trial.  We would like you, as community members, to get to know the team and see that the Trial is for a limited time, is closely monitored and is geared to deliver only the very best for the community.
