Procurement
|
The Water Corporation has adopted online trading as our preferred method of acquiring goods and services. Our new online system for all contracts and purchasing - Water Corporation e-Procurement - is now online.
Online trading is the ability to trade with all suppliers using email and web technology. It removes paper processes and reduces costs for both buyer and supplier, making trading simpler, more sustainable and more cost effective.
Automating the process eliminates many of the clerical and administrative tasks for both the buyer and supplier – reducing the cost and time required to complete a transaction.

e-Procurement Issues
Java Version Issue Resolved
We have now resolved the Java version issues experienced in recent times. Java 1.4 is the minimum version required to successfully access eProcurement, however, updated versions of Java will also work with eProcurement.
How can I get a compatible version of Java?
If you have not previously installed 1.4 or if you have already upgraded to Java 1.6 you can install a version of Java which is compatible with e-Procurement.
What if the internal security of your hard drive or server prevents you from uploading or downloading documents?
Consult your internal I.T Administrator. This issue relates to your own internal security, hard drive or server requirements.
What happens if you are only able to upload or download small documents when using the mass upload/download transaction?
Please contact BSG (08) 9420 3535 or your own network administrator to update the Java settings.
Security Certificate
This has been removed from the website and is no longer required. eProcurement should no longer be flagged by your internet browser as an insecure site. If you have any further issues with the security certificate please contact BSG (08) 9420 3535.
Submitting a bid
If you choose to submit a hard copy bid, please note that special files, binders and/or presentation efforts including additional brochures and reports not directly relevant to the bid will be removed and recycled if possible or destroyed. Two ring binder files are preferred as they can be recycled to schools.
Please endeavour to respond to this request for bids with a concise submission that can be easily placed on file with other submissions.
