Transaction fees
We introduced a 0.6% transaction fee on credit card payments on 1 February 2011. This fee covers the significant cost of accepting credit card payments.
It also applies to debit card payments made using credit card facilities. You can continue to pay your account electronically without incurring the fee by using Direct Debit or BPAY.
When we introduced the fee, we also introduced American Express as a payment method and removed the $5000 limit on credit card payments.
