Providing a high-quality water supply is not as simple as you may think.
Maintaining our quality water supply requires measuring and protecting existing water sources while investigating and developing new water sources. It also means supporting businesses and individuals to manage water usage and conserve this precious resource.
With a Security through Diversity approach that comprises both demand and supply initiatives, we continue to provide Western Australian homes, businesses and industry with the water services they need now, while preparing for the needs of future generations.
In the metropolitan area, water comes from three sources: dams (surface water), groundwater and the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.
