Water Management Assessments for Business

A key element of the Waterwise Business Program are the Energetics Water Management assessments, Water Challenger, Water Achiever® and One-2-Five® Water. THESE PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO INDUSTRY AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS AT NO COST. Each program takes a detailed look at a businesses current Water Management practices and then provides an action plan aimed at improving these practices. The goal of this continual improvement model is to lead to ongoing savings in scheme water consumption and the associated costs.

With the recent announcement of the extension of state-wide water saving initiatives, all business customers who use more than 20,000kL of scheme water, per reading year, will be required to undertake one of these assessments on an annual basis. The results from these annual sessions will be required to be included in your Water Efficiency Management Plan (WEMP) submission and its associated annual progress report.

The Water Challenger program is aimed at Industry and Business customers who use less than 30,000 kilolitres of water each year. Water Challenger is an online session that a business can complete at their own leisure. Launched in March 2007 more than 90 customers have already completed the session and are employing the water management practices and recommendations suggested.

The Water Achiever®  program is aimed at Industry and Business customers who use between 30,000 and 200,000 kilolitres of water each year. A member of the Key Customer Relationship Management team hosts each session at the customer's place of business. Since its commencement in early 2003, 52 customers have participated in the program and have taken on board the Water Management practices and recommendations that resulted from their session. These customers are now experiencing the associated water cost and volume saving benefits.

The  One-2-Five® Water  program is aimed at the top end of Industry and Business customers who use more than 200,000 kilolitres of water each year. A member of the Key Customer Relationship Management team hosts each session at the customer's place of business.
