Rainwater Reward

If you are a customer in the Lower Great Southern or Bridgetown area and install a rainwater tank for internal use, you may be eligible to apply for a Rainwater Reward of up to $1000.

What is Rainwater Reward?

It is a water efficiency program for customers in the Lower Great Southern and Bridgetown areas. If you are a property owner in the area and you purchase and plumb in a rainwater tank for internal use, (such as clothes washing and toilet flushing), you may be eligible for one of the following rewards:

• For a new rainwater tank* that is plumbed in has a reward of up to $1000 or the cost of the tank and plumbing - whichever is the lesser amount
• For an existing tank* to be plumbed in has a reward of up to $500 or the cost of the plumbing work - whichever is the lesser amount. (eg. if costs $200 to plumb in the tank, you will receive an equivalent amount)
• For a new rainwater tank* to replace one that is already plumbed in has a reward of up to $500 or the cost of the rainwater tank - whichever is the lesser amount. (eg. if tank costs $200, you will receive an equivalent amount).

* must have a capacity of 2000 litres or more.

This program is only available to property owners using scheme water in the Bridgetown Regional and Lower Great Sothern regions. Find out more about each of the programs here.

  You can participate in this program if you live in one of these towns:

  • Boyup Brook
  • Bridgetown
  • Greenbushes
  • Hester
  • Mullalyup
  • Manjimup
  • Nannup
  • Northcliffe
  • Quinninup
  • Kirup
  • Balingup

  Purchases and claims must be made between 1 December 2012 and 31 May 2013, the total value of rewards offered is limited and must be claimed over this period. Rewards will cease on 31 May 2013 or when the program funds have been expended.

• Lower Great Southern Rainwater Reward Program

  You can participate in this program if you live in one of these towns:

  • Albany
  • Cranbrook
  • Denmark
  • Frankland
  • Kendenup
  • Mount Barker
  • Narrikup
  • Walpole

  Purchases and claims must be made between 1 November 2010 - 30 June 2013, the total value of rewards offered is limited and must be claimed during this period. Rewards will cease on 30 June 2013 or when the program funds have been expended.

How do I make a claim?

To make a claim you need to download and complete an application form for your area and return it to us along with a copy of the invoice for the purchase of the tank/s and an itemised plumbers invoice showing a breakdown of the works undertaken at the property.
