The One Arm Point Remote Community School received $6000 to develop an aquaculture centre allowing them to educate children on aquaponics systems as part of the school curriculum for years to come.

Students can experiment with breeding saltwater fish species and growing edible plants as part of the curriculum. The learning centre provides students with the opportunity for practical experience and education in an important industry for the area, aligning with studies in Cert II Aquaculture.

Round 5 of the Kimberley Community Grants is now open. Visit to apply and for further information! Grants close 4pm WST, 8 May 2020.
