Project goal:

Construct new distribution main to improve the reliability of water supply for current and future developments in the Banjup, Yangebup and Hammond Park areas.

Delivery date:

Completed in 2020

What's happening?

We have finished installing a new water main from the corner of Yangebup Road and Williambury Drive, along Rapania rise, cross Beeliar Drive to Catspaw Avenue, crossing Bluebush Avenue to Friarbird Terrace. The new pipeline will connect to existing infrastructure near the corner of Spearwood Avenue and The Grange.

This work will help ensure we can continue to supply water to the growing community within the City of Cockburn.

Please view the Beeliar project map for the full scope of work.

We have completed the reinstatement of verges and roads that were impacted by the work. We follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure that all impacted areas, including driveways, verges and roads, are replaced like for like, where practically possible. If you have any concerns please email

Initial planting within the Beeliar bushland was completed by Western Australian company, Tranen. They will be monitoring and maintaining the area to ensure the revegetation is successful.

Grass seeds have been planted at  the Ronsard Park in Yangebup and we will be fencing the area for a few more weeks to allow the seeds to grow.
