Jandakot and Treeby water pipeline
Project goal:
We are constructing a new 2.6 km water pipeline to help cater for the continued growth in the City of Cockburn.
Delivery Date:
May 2023 - Early 2024
What's happening?
We are constructing a new 2.6 km water pipeline along Solomon Road, Dollier Street, Amethyst Street and Greensand Promenade to help cater for the continued growth in the Banjup Urban Precinct.
Where is this happening?
The below map shows the work area.
Why is this taking place?
The Jandakot, Treeby and Banjup areas are currently experiencing high development growth, which requires new infrastructure to service the growing community. When is this taking place?
Construction commenced on Amethyst Street in May and has now progressed to Solomon Road. Stage 2 of Solomon Road, between Dollier Street and Verde Drive, is nearing completion.
Stage 3 of Solomon Road, between Verde Drive and Armadale Road is due to commence in February 2024. This section is estimated to take up approximately six weeks to complete. Work will take place from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm.
How will this impact the community?
As with any construction activities there will be an increase in noise, dust and activity in the area. There will also be temporary impacts to roads, verges and pedestrian paths.
We follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure all impacted areas are replaced like for like, where practically possible. We will also work closely with the City of Cockburn, businesses and residents to ensure all reinstatements are carried out to an acceptable and high standard.

Work is being done to ensure these impacts are minimised as much as possible, but some disruption is unavoidable. The level of disruption will vary depending on the type and location of the business as well the type and length of time for construction activity.
