Due to popular demand, all of our available sprinkler services have been allocated and the program is now closed. Thank you for your interest in being waterwise. Check back regularly for new offers.

I signed up for the sprinkler service, what does it include?

A Waterwise Garden Irrigator will visit your property and:

  • Check for leaks in your irrigation system
  • Fix sprinklers including finding and repairing broken sprinkler heads
  • Check your irrigation controller is operating correctly
  • Test your sprinkler system
  • Set optimal run times for your garden
  • Provide advice on sprinkler maintenance, how to check your sprinkler system and retic repairs.

They'll complete a form with you to confirm what work has been carried out. It's essential that someone is home during the service, so they can discuss your irrigation check and sprinkler test.

The Waterwise Garden Irrigator may recommend additional work to be completed at your own expense. This is completely optional.

The Spring Sprinkler Service (Service) is available to residential property owners in the Perth metropolitan area who are customers of the Water Corporation. The program offers the Service to reduce water use by improving irrigation efficiency, conducted by a Waterwise Irrigation Specialist. The Service is free to customers. 1,075 rebates are available. The service must be completed between 15 September 2021 and 31 May 2022, or when the limit of 1,075 rebates is reached.

Multiple Waterwise Irrigation Specialists will be appointed to carry out the work. They must be Waterwise Irrigators and they will be selected via a Request for Quote process based on their demonstrated capacity to cost effectively and efficiently deliver the required services. The volume of work each irrigator will receive is dependent on customer uptake of the program and customer location. Jobs will be allocated to Waterwise irrigation Specialists based on distance from the customer’s household and availability. The Water Corporation will endeavour to distribute the work as fairly as possible across all appointed Waterwise Irrigation Specialists. Basic property water use data may be shared with the appointed Waterwise Irrigation Specialist to assist them with servicing the property.

The agreed Service requirements will include:

  1. A basic leak test with isolation valve on/off
  2. Locate master valve & cut-in – check and report
  3. Controller check and reset with replacement of battery (battery provided by the Waterwise Irrigation Specialist)
  4. Check sprinkler operation, uniformity, coverage, pressure, broken sprinklers – replace sprinklers (as many as possible within the timeframe allowed with rebate) including inefficient misting heads or micro sprayers
  5. Recommendation of additional changes to irrigation if required, and general waterwise gardening recommendations if appropriate (such as garden design and maintenance)

Additional work to the above service requirements is possible but must be dealt with directly between the Waterwise Irrigation Specialist and the customer, including payment for the additional services.

Documentation (Spring Sprinkler Service Form) must be received from the Waterwise Irrigation Specialist to confirm the work undertaken. The Waterwise Irrigation Specialist must complete this form on-site with the customer, obtaining the customer’s signature confirming the work undertaken. The rebate can only be claimed once the Waterwise Irrigation Specialist has invoiced the Water Corporation. The rebate is capped and amount paid as per the invoice received. Payments will be made by electronic funds transfer once the rebate claims have been validated. Final decisions regarding reward eligibility will be made by Water Corporation. Only one rebate can be claimed for any one household.

The Corporation will not be liable for any claims or loss suffered as a result of the work undertaken as part of the Service unless, and only to the extent that, the Corporation has been negligent. The relevant businesses that supplied the Services (and any products used) will be responsible for managing all aspects of customer service associated with their products and services, including but not limited to bookings, installations, warranty claims and complaints.
