The CIP planning layer is a spatial dataset that contains information on planned infrastructure projects.
Registered users will be able to view the location of proposed infrastructure that Water Corporation is planning to construct over the next 5 years, together with information on the proposed start and completion dates. The dataset includes proposed pump stations, water and wastewater pipes and water tanks.

The Shared Land Information Platform (SLIP) is a free information service that allows users to access Western Australia’s significant land and geographic information resources over the web. It is managed by Landgate on behalf of the State of Western Australia.
Water Corporation uses the SLIP to provide spatial information about its planned infrastructure projects to a community of registered users, via a capital investment program (CIP) planning layer.
SLIP users who have successfully registered with Water Corporation will have access to certain capital investment planning information through the CIP planning layer, including proposed water, wastewater and drainage projects for the next 5 years. Users should understand, and must accept, that the planning information provided by the CIP planning layer on the SLIP:
- is not necessarily current, accurate or complete
- may become out-of-date due to changes in Water Corporation’s circumstances and financial budget
- is general in nature
- should not be relied upon as a substitute for independent research and professional advice.
Water Corporation and its employees, agents, contractors and consultants are not responsible for any actions, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, claims or expenses arising in respect of personal injury, death or any damage to or loss of any property, including without limitation any economic or financial loss, whether direct or indirect, in any way arising out of or in connection with the information provided by Water Corporation on the SLIP.
