Why we acted

DYHS demonstrated the environmental and community value of renovating the gardens in East Perth to contain edible and medicinal species.  The garden transformation contributed to the aims of the City of Perth’s Environment Grants and Sponsorship Program which offers funding to support community projects that deliver a more environmentally sustainable city.

The gardens were made over to develop a low maintenance recreation of traditional areas of significance in the South West and reflect the coastal, sand plains, hills and wetlands areas.
