Nearer to nature excursion terms and conditions

  1. This offer is being run by the Water Corporation of Western Australia (ABN 28 003 434 917) (Water Corporation).
  2. Instructions on how to redeem this offer and other details contained within the Water Corporation promotional advertisements for this offer form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Entry into this offer is free.
  4. By redeeming this offer, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
  5. This offer commences at 12:01am on 15 October 2019 and closes at 11:59pm on 3 July 2020.
  6. To be eligible, entrants must:
    1. be an accredited Waterwise School in Western Australia (School) at the time of redeeming this offer;
    2. have already submitted a 2019 and/or 2020 Waterwise School Action Plan to the Waterwise School email,; and
    3. be serviced by the Water Corporation.
  1. Each School can only take advantage of one (1) excursion for a maximum of two (2) class groups.
  2. Successful Schools:
    1. must fulfil the entry criteria set out in clause 6 above;
    2. will be selected at random by the Lead of Customer Education at the Water Corporation;
    3. will be notified via the email address that responded to the offer. No proxies will be accepted and proof of identity, to the satisfaction of Water Corporation, may be required;
    4. agrees to participate in publicity or advertising, as requested, at no cost or expense to Water Corporation;
    5. agrees to have the name of the School published in association with this offer in both printed and digital publications as required by the Water Corporation; and
    6. will be referred to the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) to continue booking their excursion.
  1. Each offer:

    1. consists of one (1) excursion to be held at Canning River Eco Education Centre, Perth Hills Discovery Centre or an “off-site” river or wetland location to be determined by Nearer to Nature for a duration of 1.5 hours. A bus subsidy up to a value of $300.00 to attend one of these locations will be offered to the first 40 eligible Schools to claim this offer in term 4 of the 2019 school year;
    2. can only be redeemed during school term; and
    3. is not negotiable or redeemable for cash.
  1. The Water Corporation’s decision regarding the successful Schools will be final and no correspondence between the Water Corporation and any other entrant will be entered into.
  2. Employees[1] (including contract and agency staff) of Water Corporation and their immediate families[2] are not eligible redeem this offer.
  3. If the Water Corporation is unable to distribute an offer to a successful School and/or the successful School does not confirm a booking with DBCA within 14 days of receiving a successful confirmation email from the Waterwise School education email, the Water Corporation will conduct a re-allocation of this offer in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Water Corporation shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct and consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of redeeming this offer.
  5. All on-site insurances during the excursion will be the responsibility of each successful School.
  6. Personal information provided for the purposes of redeeming this offer will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Water Corporation’s Privacy Policy. Details of this policy are available at
  7. The terms of the Gaming and Wagering Commission Regulations 1988 (WA), regulation 36A (Prescribed Conditions Trade Promotion Lottery) apply to this offer.
  8. Entry into this offer shall be deemed acceptance of the above Terms and Conditions.

[1] Employees, contract and agency staff includes all those recorded on Water Corporation SAP HR database.
[2] Immediate family shall be deemed to include mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, husband, wife or de-facto husband or wife, living at the same residential address as the employee, contract or agency staff.
