Our level of service is to provide 20 litres of water per minute. If you believe you are receiving less than this or you have noticed that your water pressure has changed recently there are a few things you should do.
First and foremost you should visit our current outages pages to check if there are any know water issues or works being conducted in your area as this could potentially affect your water pressure.
If this is not the case then we recommend you complete the following test to determine how many litres you are receiving through your service:
Step 1: Write down the black and red numbers on your meter. Making sure all taps and water using devices are turned off first.
Step 2: Turn on your front garden tap for 60 seconds.
Step 3: Take another meter reading and subtract the first meter reading from the last. This will tell you how much water comes out within the 60 second period.
Step 4: If you ARE receiving more than 20 litres per minute from your garden tap there may be an issue with your internal pipe work and you will need to call a plumber. Find a list of waterwise endorsed plumbers on the Master Plumber and Gasfitters Association website.
