Banksia Grove new water main

back to current projects

Project goal:

We are constructing 1.33 km of new water main in Banksia Grove, to improve the supply of water in the City of Wanneroo

In construction

Delivery Date:

April–August 2017

Weekend work

In order to complete final reinstatement work, the southbound lane of Ghost Gum Boulevard from Parakeelya Road to Spledens Avenue will be closed on Saturday 12 August.

To make our new water main ready for operation we need to complete work on Sunday 13 August, between 7 am and 7 pm across the all work sites.

We will do what we can to minimise disruption to you during this time, including completing activities that require a reasonable amount of noise during the middle of the day.

How will the construction impacts be managed?

We are committed to ensuring that any area impacted by our work, including home verges and driveways, will be returned as close to original condition as possible.

We appreciate many people put a lot of time, effort and money into their verges. If any trees, shrubs, or lawn needs to be removed, they will be replaced and the area restored. If driveways or paving are disturbed they will also be reinstated.

Some footpaths will be temporarily reinstated with bitumen. This will allow for safety of pedestrians and usability of the footpaths while they are not being affected by work. We want to ensure community members that footpaths will be reinstated to a standard as close to the original as possible.
