back to current projects

Project goal:

Improve the reliability of water supply to customers supplied by the Goldields and Agricultural Region Water Supply Scheme

Commencing soon

Delivery Date:

February 2019

What's happening?

Water Corporation began upgrades in early April 2018 at the existing Cunderdin Water Pump Station site. This work will improve the reliability of water supply to customers supplied by the Goldfields and Agricultural Region Water Supply Scheme.

This work will include refurbishing the existing pump station building, installing 2 new pumps, replacing the some of the existing pump motors and replacing the pump station’s electrical system. This will involve demolition of the existing building where this infrastructure is housed, construction of a new transformer building and 3 surge vessels.

This work will be happening at Water Corporation’s existing Cunderdin pump station, Lot 417 Kennedy Street, adjacent to Great Eastern Highway.

Community impact

Local residents and businesses within the vicinity of the pump station should expect medium-level noise and minimal dust and vibrations from the initial demolition work.

There will be an increase in traffic in the vicinity of the pump station, as construction vehicles enter and exit the pump station facility. Construction signage will be in place around this site.
