Water Corporation will start construction in mid-September on a booster pump station, which will replace Leeman’s current elevated tank supplying the town.
The existing elevated tank has aged so it will be taken out of operation once the new booster pump station has been constructed. This work will take place at the existing tank site, opposite Indian Ocean Drive, which is owned by Water Corporation.
The new infrastructure will improve and secure the water supply in Leeman, with some added benefit of increasing water pressure during peak periods.
This work will have minimal construction impacts, however residents near the construction site may notice low level noise whilst the new booster pump station is constructed on site.
Working hours will be 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
