Margaret River Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

back to current projects

Project goal:

Upgrade the capacity of the Margaret River Wastewater Treatment Plant

In design

Delivery Date:

September 2019

What's happening?

To cater for population growth in the area, we are increasing the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant located in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.

Work will be undertaken within the existing wastewater treatment plant site, as outlined on the Notice of Proposal which you can download and view in the Documents & Downloads section.

Guidera O'Connor, an authorised contractor of Water Corporation will carry out work on the treatment plant. The work is scheduled to commence in September 2018 and will take approximately 12 months to complete. We do not expect there to be any significant community impacts from the project, and we do not expect our services to be affected by the work.

A new depot will also be constructed on site from mid-July 2018 to cater for increased numbers of staff based in Margaret River. Perkins Builders, an authorised contractor of Water Corporation, will undertake construction of this facility.
