back to current projects

Project goal:

Upgrade the capacity of the Margaret River Wastewater Treatment Plant

In construction

Delivery Date:

December 2019

What's happening?

To cater for population growth in the area, we are increasing the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant located in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River. The work includes the installation of new treatment equipment and the construction of new tanks and a new pond.

Work is being undertaken within the existing wastewater treatment plant site, as outlined on the Notice of Proposal which you can download and view in the Documents & Downloads section.

Guidera O'Connor, an authorised contractor of Water Corporation will carry out work on the treatment plant. The work commenced in November 2018 and will take approximately 14 months to complete. We do not expect there to be any significant community impacts from the project, and we do not expect our services to be affected by the work.
