What's happening

To improve the water quality and provide a more secure water supply for customers in the town of Merredin, we are constructing a new 42 million litre water storage tank along Great Eastern Highway, near Crooks Road.

The work includes converting the existing reservoir to an overflow area for the new tank, a new chemical dosing facility, extending the existing access road from the Merredin Pump Station site to the new tank site and construction of pipework connecting to the new tank.

The location of the proposed work is as shown on the Notice of Proposal.

When is this happening?

The proposed work is scheduled to start in April 2020 and is expected to be completed in September 2021.

Objections to this proposed work will be considered if lodged in writing to the Project Manager, Russell Brown, Water Corporation, PO Box 100, Leederville WA 6902, by close of business Wednesday 2 October, 2019.

We will keep the community informed of specific construction details closer to the time of the work starting.
