Maintenance work to wastewater scheme in Mundaring

back to current projects

Project goal:

Bury a wastewater pipe deeper underground to protect the asset.

Status:

Commencing soon

Delivery Date:

19 February 2018 to 4 March 2018

What's happening

We will be burying one of our existing pipes further underground to provide greater protection for the asset, which connects to the Mundaring Wastewater Treatment Plant.

A 60 metre section of the existing pipe along Helena Street will be sunk by approximately 600 millimetres. This will involve potholing, digging and excavating to re-lay the pipe, followed by backfilling of the pipe trench and final reinstatement.

A new air valve and pit will also be installed at the intersection of Helena Street and Hartung Street in Mundaring, nearby this work. This valve will be installed three metres off the road at this intersection.
