Maintenance work to wastewater scheme in Mundaring

Providing greater protection to pipes leading into the Mundaring Wastewater Treatment Plant.

back to current projects

Project goal:

Bury a wastewater pipe deeper underground to protect the asset.

Commencing soon

Delivery Date:

19 February 2018 to 4 March 2018

What's happening

We will be burying one of our existing pipes further underground to provide greater protection for the asset, which connects to the Mundaring Wastewater Treatment Plant.

A 60 m section of the existing pipe along Helena Street will be sunk by approximately 600 mm. This will involve potholing, digging and excavating to re-lay the pipe, followed by backfilling of the pipe trench and final reinstatement.

A new air valve and pit will also be installed at the intersection of Helena Street and Hartung Street in Mundaring, nearby this work. This valve will be installed 3 m off the road at this intersection.
