Water Corporation will refurbish ageing wastewater pipes in West Leederville from June - July 2018.
Sewer relining uses trenchless technology to clean access chambers and refurbish existing wastewater pipes.
Please refer to the map on the second tab above for the sewer relining work area in West Leederville.
What are the impacts?
Residents may notice more activity in the area, noise from generators and vehicles and temporary odour.
Access to your property may be required to carry out some of the work. If so, the contractor, Interflow, will contact you directly to discuss and arrange entry.
Where required, traffic management will be in place to direct people safely around the work area.
During the work, if you experience any odour in your bathroom, flush your toilet and pour water down the floor drain. Where possible, please close all toilet covers during this period. If wastewater does overflow out of your toilet, notify Steve Thompson from Interflow on 0407 157 056 immediately. Interflow will attend to assess the issue and notify the Department of Health.
Work is expected to begin Monday 25 June and take four weeks to complete. It will take place on Lake Monger Drive and continue along the wastewater route to Northwood St in West Leederville (see map).
We will work from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 5pm and we will generally be in one area for 6 days at a time.
