Water Corporation customers in Mount Tarcoola, Rangeway and south of Brede Street will experience a water outage overnight from 9pm Saturday, 19 November to 6am Sunday, 20 November while essential work takes place.

Water Corporation Mid West Regional Manager Steve Greeve said the water supply in these areas would be temporarily interrupted to allow work to improve the water supply scheme to progress.

“These works will help limit the customer impact of future water outages and improve the reliability of the water supply,” Mr Greeve said.

“Once water supply resumes 6am on Sunday, customers may experience temporary discoloured water for a short period.

“Temporary discoloured water may occur when we undertake this type of work because natural sediment within pipes is stirred up and causes discolouration. This sediment is harmless and the water is safe for use.”

Mr Greeve said the work would take place overnight to limit the impact to customers.

"I thank our customers in advance for their cooperation and understanding during these essential water supply works, and apologise for any inconvenience they may cause," Mr Greeve said.
