City Beach Primary School celebrates two decades of waterwise education
City Beach Primary School celebrated 20 years enrolled in Water Corporation’s Waterwise Schools Program at a special assembly last Friday.
Over the last two decades teachers at the school have been educating students on the need to value, protect and conserve water resources.
Water Corporation General Manager Customer and Community Group, Catherine Ferrari, thanked the school for sharing the waterwise message.
“In our drying climate it’s important the next generation are aware of how precious water is and City Beach Primary School has been sharing this message for 20 years,” Ms Ferrari said.
"Students are the water users of the future, so it is vital teachers continue to educate students about the value of water.
“Thank you to students and teachers at City Beach Primary School for your dedication to the program.”
City Beach Primary School Principal, Grant Ward, said students had a better understanding of the need to save precious water.
“As a result of being a Waterwise School, students have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of water - not only in their lives, but the wider community,” Mr Ward said.
