Creating a sustainable and cleaner water future for Western Australia.

The desire to make Perth a leading waterwise city by 2030 has been a driving factor in the creation of our new innovation hub, the Water Research and Innovation Precinct.

Located in Subiaco, the Water Research and Innovation Precinct will become a truly collaborative workspace delivering new and innovative wastewater treatment and resource recovery technologies. By collaborating with global technology providers, research institutions and local industry we’ll secure and maintain our precious water supply for generations to come.

Our vision

Through collaboration, we’ll undertake research and pilot testing of water recovery technologies to gain the confidence necessary to become an early adopter of technologies which will deliver improved efficiencies, sustainability and a positive legacy.

Our core deliverables will be :

  • smaller treatment footprint

How to get involved

If you have an idea you’d like to trial, or would like to initiate a conversation with us, there are a few ways to get involved. We are seeking a global technology partner to take up long-term residence in the Innovation Precinct to trial a range of treatment technologies. A Request for Proposal has been issued to seek interested partners. This can be accessed by our suppliers portal. We are also looking for other researchers, equipment suppliers or anyone we can form strategic partnerships with to ensure WA is always at the cutting edge of delivering improved efficiency and sustainability.
