Geraldton Beaver Street wastewater pipeline replacement
Project goal:
To improve the reliability of wastewater services in the City of Greater Geraldton.
Status:
In planning.
Delivery Date:
To be confirmed.
What's happening?
To improve the reliability of wastewater services in Geraldton, we are planning to replace a 1.6- kilometre section of the Beaver Street underground wastewater main pipeline.
To be located below ground, the construction of the pipeline will be by open trench excavation, except the Place Road crossing which will be installed by horizontal directional drilling. All excavations will be backfilled and restored.
Where is this happening?
As shown on the map below, the proposed pipeline will travel north from Geraldton Wastewater Treatment Plant, along Place Rd, Stow St and Dwyer St, to connect to the Beaver Street Wastewater Pump Station in Geraldton's industrial area.

When is this happening?
Subject to obtaining all necessary approvals, the proposed works are scheduled to commence in October 2025 and continue for a duration of approximately 6 months.
How will this impact the community?
We will work with local businesses and landowners to ensure alternative access routes are in place as required, throughout the construction period.
The section of pipeline to be replaced does not connect to any household services. We do not expect any disruption to your wastewater services from this work.
Should a planned outage be required, any affected land and/ or business owners/ occupiers will be notified in advance.
As with most construction activities, there will be an increase in vehicle movement, noise, vibrations, and dust in the area. All Water Corporation employees and contractors endeavour to minimise disruption wherever possible.
