Project goal:

To improve the efficiency of wastewater services in the City of Mandurah.

Status:

In construction

Delivery Date:

The pipeline construction will be completed early 2021. The pump station upgrade will be completed by the end of March 2021.

What's happening

To improve the efficiency of wastewater services in the City of Mandurah, Water Corporation is undertaking the following work:

  • Upgrades to the existing Pebble Beach Boulevard wastewater pump station
  • Constructing a 2.3 kilometre wastewater pipeline on Pebble Beach Boulevard, Pinegrove Vista, Meadow Springs Drive, Camden Way and Oakmont Avenue.

How will this impact the community?

Noise and dust
Construction is by open trench excavation. This method allows the new pipe to be laid directly into the ground, and each section can take up to a number of weeks to complete – which requires the pits to remain open during the process. Rest assured, all open trenched areas are fenced and clearly signed at all times.
Unfortunately, this work can be noisy and a little dusty. We understand and appreciate that this causes temporary inconvenience and disruption in the community, and we are committed to working with our customers to minimise impact.

Traffic management

It is likely that the affected roads will temporarily be reduced to single lane traffic during each stage of the work. However, our authorised contractor (DM Civil) will endeavour to maintain full access to properties and businesses at all times, and full traffic management will be in place throughout project delivery.

Reinstatement
Once the new pipes are in the ground, the impacted areas will be backfilled, compacted and reinstated progressively to minimise disruption and dust.

Roundabout at Pebble Beach Boulevard and Pinegrove Vista

Please note that the pavers at the roundabout at Pebble Beach Boulevard and Pinegrove Vista will need to be removed as part of the work. These pavers are not produced anymore and will be replaced with red asphalt. This decision has been made with the City of Mandurah.

Where is this happening?

The work will be taking place along Pebble Beach Boulevard, Pinegrove Vista, Meadow Springs Drive, Camden Way and Oakmont Avenue in Mandurah.

Why is this taking place?

As the population grows in the area, it is important to ensure we can maintain our standard of service. This work will improve the efficiency of wastewater services in the City of Mandurah.

When is this taking place?

Work has commenced and will take approximately six months to complete, finishing in around March 2021.

The majority of work will be completed between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, as approved by City of Mandurah. Should any works be required to take place outside of normal working hours, we will provide adequate notice and take measures to minimise noise and disruption.

Who can I contact?
