Meadow Springs wastewater upgrades
Project goal:
To improve the efficiency of wastewater services in the City of Mandurah.
Status:
In construction
Delivery Date:
The pipeline construction will be completed early 2021. The pump station upgrade will be completed by the end of March 2021.
What's happening
To improve the efficiency of wastewater services in the City of Mandurah, Water Corporation is undertaking the following work:
- Upgrades to the existing Pebble Beach Boulevard wastewater pump station
- Constructing a 2.3 kilometre wastewater pipeline on Pebble Beach Boulevard, Pinegrove Vista, Meadow Springs Drive, Camden Way and Oakmont Avenue.
How will this impact the community?
Construction is by open trench excavation. This method allows the new pipe to be laid directly into the ground, and each section can take up to a number of weeks to complete – which requires the pits to remain open during the process. Rest assured, all open trenched areas are fenced and clearly signed at all times.
