Fast-growing, evergreen shrub to 4 metres high and wide. Slender shiny, dark green foliage and massed clusters of white fragrant flowers throughout spring. Needs to be pruned regularly to maintain size and shape, however, pruning close to spring will reduce flowering.
Cultivars include 'Bridal Star' (2 to 3 metres high, white flowers) and 'Wedding Candle' (a hybrid, to 3 metres white flowers).
