Here Settlement Agents can find out how to request information for a settlement, what the charges are and how you can get updated Certificate of Charges and final account balances.

When a property or land is transferring ownership, settlement agents can request all the information required for a settlement through Landgate’s website.

This will include Water Corporation certificate of charges, availability of water/sewer services (sewer plan), and a special meter reading application.

The online application is called Electronic Advice of Sale (EAS2).

Getting updated Certificate of Charges

If you have already received the Certificate of Charges for a property, you can receive an up to date certificate which includes charges billed since your original request by using the re-inquire function in EAS2.

Getting a final account balance

You can get an updated account balance for the current 2-monthly billing period, after a special meter reading has been completed, by calling us at any time on 1300 654 134.

A special or 2-monthly meter reading triggers service charges to be raised. If the IVR is used prior to a meter reading, the current services charges will not be included in the account balance.

If settlement has been delayed and the new date falls within the next 2-monthly billing period, the service charges for this period will not be included until a meter read has been completed.

How do I calculate the account balance prior to the special meter reading?

This can be done by either using the ‘daily rate’ provided on the Certificate of Charges to calculate the service charge or alternatively, using the re-inquire function.

The re-inquire function will trigger service charges to be billed for that period, irrespective of the meter read being completed – the value of those charges will be available immediately on the IVR.

Advice of sale charges

When you submit a request to obtain information for a property settlement, the following charges will apply:

Certificate of Charges, Availability of Services, Non-Urgent Meter Reading & Sewer Plan: $44.55

Certificate of Charges, Availability of Services, Urgent Meter Reading & Sewer Plan: $84.04

Charges for submitting an advice of sale manually

Post the Water Corporation page to Locked Bag 2 OSBORNE PARK DC 6916 along with the appropriate payment.

Certificate of Charges, Availability of Services, Urgent Meter Reading & Sewer Plan: $115.61
