Concession rebates in more detail

If you have a Pensioner Concession, State Concession, WA Seniors or both a WA Senior and Commonwealth Senior Health Card you may be eligible for rebates on your water service charges.

Pension card and State Concession cardholders may also be eligible for seniors discounts on their water use charges.

Please note that you can only receive water discounts on one property.

Tenants are only eligible for a water use rebate if they hold a Pension or State Concession Card – you can find more details about this below.

WA Seniors card

WA Seniors Card holders are eligible for:

Rebate on service charges, capped at a maximum dollar value of $100. This is divided into 3 caps for each service:

  • Water service charge $18.14
  • Sewer service charge $72.69
  • Drainage service charge $9.17
WA Seniors cardCommonwealth senior health card

Dual Seniors must have both a WA Senior and Commonwealth Senior Health Card and are eligible for:

Up to 50% rebate on service charges, capped at a maximum dollar value of $600. This is divided into 3 caps for each service:

  • Water service charge $108.86
  • Sewer service charge $436.15
  • Drainage service charge $54.99

Please note if you only hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card you are not eligible for concession on your service charges.
State concession card

State Concession Card holders are eligible for:

Up to 50% rebate on service charges, capped at a maximum dollar value of $600. This is divided into 3 caps for each service:

  • Water service charge $108.86
  • Sewer service charge $436.15
  • Drainage service charge $54.99

And for a water use rebate:

  • Metro customers may be eligible for a 50% concession on 150 kilolitres (kL) of water use per meter reading year
  • North country areas may be eligible for a 50% concession on 600kL of water use per meter reading year
  • South country areas may be eligible for a 50% concession on 400kL of water use per meter reading year
