Donnybrook Water Supply Upgrade

What’s happening?
We are proposing to equip a groundwater bore, construct pipelines and construct associated electrical works as part of our Donnybrook Water Supply Upgrade project.
The location of the work is shown on the map below and will occur in:
- Our existing bore site at the Donnybrook Golf Course
- The northern verge of Ecclestone Street
- The western verge of Bakewell Street, and,
- The northern verge of Bentley Street
Why is the work happening?
This essential upgrade work will ensure the reliability of the current Donnybrook water supply. The bore being equipped will be used, as required, to ensure we can meet the water demand of Donnybrook.
When is this happening?
Investigations for the proposed work are ongoing. Subject to obtaining approvals the work is scheduled to commence construction in mid July 2025 and will continue for a duration of approximately six months.
How will this impact me?
It is planned to construct the pipeline by open trench excavation. This may require some short-term road closures and detours while the pipelines are installed across roads. We will keep you updated closer to the commencement of the work about any direct impacts, including detours.
As with any construction activities, there will be an increase in vehicle movement, personnel, noise and dust in the area. However, all Water Corporation employees and contractors endeavour to minimise disruption where possible.
Should a planned outage to your water or wastewater services be required for this work, we will notify you in advance.
