The Water Corporation (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Collection Statement explains how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you sign-up for project updates and/or notifications of change(s) within the building and development space. 

What information we collect

We collect the personal information that you provide, such as your name and email address, when you complete the Water Corporation’s sign-up form. We may also collect information about your interactions with our updates and/or notifications via cookies or analytic tools.

Why we collect the information

We collect the information to keep you informed about:

1. project updates; and/or
2. changes to our Developer’s Manual (including processes that may affect developers and builders). 

If you do not provide the information (i.e. your email address), we will be unable to send you the project updates and/or notification of change(s).

How we collect the information

We collect your personal information directly from you when you complete and submit the sign-up form on our website. 

How we use and share your information

Your personal information will only be used for the purpose outlined above unless we have your consent or are required/permitted by law to use it otherwise. 
We may use third-party service providers, including cloud storage providers, to store and manage your personal information. We take reasonable measures to ensure that the organisations we disclose personal information to are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to using and managing your personal information. 

Your rights

• You can unsubscribe from the project updates and/or notifications of change(s) at any time by using the respective unsubscribe links included in the applicable Water Corporation email communications.
• Our Privacy Policy sets out how you can access and correct any of your personal information and how you can make a complaint.
