Our partnerships are focussed on driving the state's growth and vitality, increasing awareness of our environment and water sustainability and enabling greater community involvement in making WA a great place to live and invest.
We are proud to contribute to the community and build long term relationships that benefit our customers and the environment right across WA.
Our key partnership focus areas are:
Supporting the growth of WA
Partnerships that support organisations who assist in developing future generations of young Australians through programs that increase their knowledge, life skills, opportunities, capacity and career prospects, while driving growth for WA.
The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, self-esteem, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal men and by doing so, equip them to participate more meaningfully in society. The Foundation uses the existing passion that Aboriginal boys have for football to attract them to attend an Academy.
Supporting the vitality of WA
Partnerships that allow us to enrich people's lives across WA by connecting them to culture and community spirit.
Yirra Yaakin, which means ‘stand tall’ in Noongar language, is one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal performing arts organisations. Yirra Yaakin's priority is to ensure Aboriginal theatre keeps providing opportunities for Aboriginal artists at all levels of theatre creation and production.
Throughout the months of March to May 2014, Water Corporation partnered with Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company and the touring performance of Kep Kaatijin to a capacity schedule of schools in the metro area and the North West reaching over 3,000 students. This production is a collection of stories based on traditional Noongar knowledge and storytelling. Through traditional and contemporary myths and legends, Kep Kaatijin brings to life stories from the waterways of the South West of WA and the preciousness of water to the environment. Environment and sustainability
Partnerships that support programs and projects that build an appreciation of nature and an awareness of the preciousness of water. The programs and projects include education, legacy and long term initiatives that increase the value of the environment to the community.
Partnerships that support and encourage greater ownership and sustainability of WA's water. Our waterwise partners are committed to sharing our water efficiency messaging through community programs, projects and initiatives.
We welcome proposals from groups or organisations seeking support.
