Building Yanchep's water future

What’s happening?

Yanchep is one of Western Australia's fastest-growing communities and demand for water and wastewater services continue to grow. To help meet this demand, we’re delivering a series of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Yanchep.

These projects will expand and strengthen the local network, helping to keep pace with growth and continue providing reliable services to homes, businesses and community facilities.

As Yanchep continues to develop, additional infrastructure projects will be planned to support future demand. We’ll continue to share information about upcoming work as it becomes available. 

Where will the work take place?

There are currently four projects planned to commence across Yanchep over the next year. The proposed locations of these projects are shown on the map below.

Yanchep Marmion Avenue water and wastewater upgrades

New water and wastewater infrastructure along Marmion Avenue will help strengthen the local network and support continued growth in Yanchep. Construction is expected to begin in late 2026 . For more information please visit the project page.

Yanchep water supply upgrade

A new water pipeline will increase the amount of water available from Perth's Integrated Water Supply Scheme, helping diversify water sources for Yanchep. More information will be provided as the project progresses through the approvals process.

Yanchep Two Rocks Road wastewater upgrades

Upgrades to existing wastewater infrastructure and new pipeline connections will improve the performance of the wastewater network in Yanchep. More information will be provided as the project progresses through the approvals process.

Yanchep Junction pump station and wastewater pipeline

New wastewater infrastructure will be delivered within the Yanchep Junction residential development and along Botanical Boulevard in Yanchep. This work will be completed by Wolfdene (land developer) and transferred to Water Corporation once complete.

How will this impact me?

As these projects are delivered across Yanchep, you may notice changes in areas where work is taking place.

Depending on the location and stage of construction, impacts may include:

• Construction activity, including noise, dust and construction vehicles.
• Temporary traffic changes, such as lane closures, reduced sped limits and detours.
• Temporary water interruptions wile new infrastructure is connected to the network.
• Changes to road verges and public areas during construction.

We'll work closely with our contractors to minimise impact and disruption wherever possible and provide advanced notice of planned work and expected impacts.
