Bullsbrook Water Pump Station
Project goal:
Water Corporation is going to construct a Booster Pump Station (BPS) in Bullsbrook, to cater for the growing community in the City of Swan.
A BPS is a facility that increases the water pressure in a pipeline. With the growing community this upgrade will be one of multiple upgrades to support the increasing demand of the Bullsbrook water supply.
Status:
Pre-construction
Delivery Date:
January 2026
What’s happening?
Work is planned to commence in January 2026 and will take approximately 6 months to complete. Work will take place on weekdays between 7am to 5pm. Most work will happen during the week. However, some after-hours work may be needed to meet deadlines. We will try to keep this to a minimum.
As part of the upcoming construction, we’ll be installing and upgrading the following:
• A new pump station
• Two sections of steel water pipeline (about 182 meters and 64 meters long)
• The pipes, valves, and fittings needed to connect everything
• Electrical components including power cables, switchboards and control systems
• Improvements to the station’s access roads
A project map showing the layout of the building site can be seen below.
When is this happening?
We have finalised the tender process and awarded the contract in October 2025.
Construction is anticipated to commence in January 2026 and take approximately 6 months to complete.
Where is this happening?
The pump station site will be located alongside Chittering Road in Bullsbrook. It is located on Water Corporation owned land. Please see the map below for reference.

How will this impact me?
Construction dust and noise: During work hours you may notice a temporary increase in odour, light, noise, and truck activity. We will aim to reduce these impacts where possible.
Traffic disruptions: To ensure work is completed safely, traffic management and detours will be in place to guide traffic around the work area as required.
Restoration of impacted areas: Unfortunately, this work requires unavoidable impact to the verge, kerbs and the road. All areas impacted by the work will be returned to as close to their original condition as reasonable. We will work with the City of Swan and together, we’ll make sure all restorations meet the agreed standard.
Water supply outage: On a limited occasion, you may experience a brief water outage or reduced water pressure. We’ll let affected properties know at least 48 hours before this occurs.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation whilst this essential work takes place.
