Byford Wastewater Upgrades
Project goal:
We are proposing to construct new wastewater infrastructure in the Byford area. This essential work will ensure continued reliable operation of our services.

What’s happening?
The proposed work includes:
- Construction of approximately 2.2km of new wastewater pipeline.
- Construction of new wastewater pump station with emergency storage, near the corner of Agate Way and Galena Way.
- Decommissioning of the existing pump station.
Where is this happening?
Our work runs alongside the Tonkin Highway Extension, along Rosaline Crescent, Moonstone Road and Makybe Boulevard. Please refer to the map below:
When is this taking place?
Construction is planned for mid-2027 and anticipated to be completed by end of 2028.
How will this impact the community?
As with any construction activities there will be an increase in noise, dust and activity in the area. There will also be temporary impacts to the roads, verges, and pedestrian paths.
We will keep the community updated as the project progresses and be in touch before construction commences in your area.
We follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure all impacted areas are replaced for like for like, where practically possible. We will also work closely with the Shire Serpentine Jarrahdale, businesses and residents to ensure all reinstatements are carried out to an acceptable and high standard.
