Flinders Precinct - Latitude 32 Wastewater Infrastructure Project
Project goal:
This project will deliver new wastewater infrastructure to support future growth in the Latitude 32 Flinders Precinct in the City of Kwinana. As part of a broader program of upgrades, it will help ensure the wastewater network has the capacity and reliability needed to serve the area now and into the future.
Status:
Planning and stakeholder consultation.
Delivery Date:
2027
What’s happening?
We are proposing to construct new wastewater infrastructure to connect the Flinders Precinct to the broader wastewater network. The proposed works across two locations include:
Hope Valley Conway - Location 1
- Construction of a wastewater pumping station.
- Installation of approximately 400 metres of 180 millimetre diameter pressure main.
- Installation of approximately 8 metres of 225 millimetre diameter gravity sewer.
Hope Valley Conway - Location 2
- Construction of a large-scale wastewater pumping station.
- Installation of approximately 4.5 kilometres of 400 to 560 millimetre diameter pressure main.
- Installation of approximately 1.1 kilometres of 300 to 375 millimetre diameter gravity sewer.
These works will provide essential wastewater services to support the development of the Flinders Precinct and its connection to the wider wastewater network.
Refer to the work area maps linked below in the "Where Is This Happening?" section for more information.
Where is this happening?
The project is located within the Latitude 32 Flinders Precinct in Hope Valley, in the City of Kwinana. The location of the new infrastructure has been carefully planned in consultation with relevant stakeholders to minimise impacts on nearby properties and existing services.

Why is this taking place?
This project is needed to support future development and economic growth within the Latitude 32 precinct, while ensuring the safe transfer and treatment of wastewater. The proposed infrastructure will provide the capacity required to meet the area's long-term servicing needs and support future growth.
How will this impact me?
During construction, you may experience:
- Increased vehicle and contractor activity in the area
- Temporary traffic disruptions and access changes near work zones
- Construction noise and dust during standard working hours
- We will take steps to minimise disruption and manage impacts on the local community wherever possible.
