Project goal:

We are going to construct a new water pipeline in Mundaring, to cater for the growing community in the Shire of Mundaring. This upgrade is necessary to support the increasing demand of the Mundaring water supply, ensuring all our customers have access to a reliable water supply.

Status:

In design.

Delivery Date:

Early to mid-2026.

What's happening?

We are installing a new water pipeline to improve the water supply in the Shire of Mundaring. The pipeline will be 600 metres long and run along the northern verge of Jacoby Street. It will start from the corner of Craven Road, and continue east. The pipeline will then cross the road to the southern verge of Jacoby Street towards the end of the pipeline. A map will be provided shortly for an overview of the area, and the location of the new pipeline.

When is this happening?

Construction is scheduled to start early to mid-2026, and will take approximately 6 months to complete. The work will be completed between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. Although most work will occur during the week, some additional out of hours work may be required to ensure work is completed within the required timeframe. We will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.

How will this impact me?

As with any construction activities, there will be an increase in vehicle movement, noise, and dust in the area.

Unfortunately, this work also requires unavoidable impact to the verge, kerbs, and the road. All areas impacted by the work will be returned to as close to their original condition as possible.

To ensure the work can be completed safely, we may need to restrict parts of the road during construction. When this happens, traffic management and detours will be in place to help direct traffic around the work area.

We will keep the community informed with project updates on this webpage, and send notifications to everyone that is affected as the project progresses.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation whilst this essential work takes place.
