Sawyers Valley water tank replacement

What's happening?

Water Corporation is planning to upgrade the water supply infrastructure in Sawyers Valley, within the Shire of Mundaring. This project is part of a long-term plan to improve water supply in the area.

The work involves replacing a 25kl tank with a larger 100kl tank at the existing site on Millstream Drive and upgrade the pump station on Great Eastern Highway, to ensure we can continue to supply water to the growing community. 

When is this happening?

Replacement of the larger tank is likely to commence 2027 and will take approximately 12 months to complete.

Where is this happening?

The tank replacement will occur within the existing tank site on Millstream Drive in Sawyers Valley.

The pump station site is located on Great Eastern Highway in the far corner of Sawyers Valley Oval, please see below for maps off both locations.

How will this impact me?

As with any construction activities, there will be an increase in vehicle movement, noise and dust in the area. The construction and installation works of the tank will be confined to the existing site at the end of Millstream Drive.

Reinstatement

We follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure all impacted areas are replaced like for like, where practically possible.

We will work closely with residents and the Shire of Mundaring to ensure all reinstatements are carried out to an acceptable standard.
