Woodlupine Brook Drainage Culvert Upgrade
Project goal:
To reduce flooding risk and improve drainage performance in the Woodlupine Brook catchment by upgrading the Cypress Road culvert crossing and associated drainage infrastructure.
Status:
Planning
Delivery:
Construction: Late 2027 (tbc)
What’s happening?
We are proposing to upgrade the existing culvert at Cypress Road, including:
- 1 x DN900 mm x 1200 mm culvert
- 2 x DN1200 mm x 1800 mm culverts
•Reinstatement of roads, verges and the drainage reserve following construction
•Associated drainage and civil works required to support the upgraded culvert crossing
Where is this happening?
The project is located at the Cypress Road crossing of Woodlupine Brook in the City of Swan. Construction activities will occur within the road reserve, drainage reserve and surrounding work areas required to complete the culvert upgrade.
Why is this needed?
- Increase the capacity of the existing drainage infrastructure
- Reduce the risk of flooding to surrounding properties and roads
How will this impact me?
During construction impacts may include:
- Increased vehicle movements and contractor activity
- Temporary traffic management near the work area
- Construction noise during standard working hours
- Construction noise during standard working hours
- Temporary impacts to verges and surrounding public areas while works are underway
We will work to minimise disruption and maintain safe access whenever possible..
